Watchers Mint
the do’s and don’ts of having a hiatal hernia ?
Just got diagnosed with an average hiatal hernia after having intense heart burn for 2 weeks i had an endoscopy and just found this out.
I know I shouldn’t be eating/drinking:
soda
coffee
chocolate
mints
spicy foods
and i know every person is different so different things affect different people. Just looking for some insight on foods in general i should be eating
i knwo smaller portions but what about salads and veggies? i heard some are bad for you.
i know i should be eating more bread rice bananas and apples but u just joined weight watchers . bread and rice are like the worst things to eat!
any advice on how to live with this would be appreciated. Thanks
If you smoke, quit. That aggravates heartburn, too. Alcohol does as well.
Small meals, sit up for at least an hour after eating. Don’t eat at least an hour before bed. Honestly, the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, apples, toast) is outdated, so don’t think you “have” to eat those. It won’t matter that much. Salads and veggies are fine.
